Job summary

RTX's Tucson, AZ-based opportunity seeks an engineering student for hands-on design of structures and assemblies, with emphasis on GD&T and ASME Y14.5. You will draft, analyze, and coordinate development hardware procurement and testing while managing suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering program, entering Sophomore year by Summer 2027, and pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree. U.S.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or higher degree program and entering Sophomore year by Summer 2027.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design structures and assemblies per ASME Y14.5.
• Detailed design and drafting work per ASME Y14.5.
• Support development hardware procurement and testing.
• Management of suppliers/subcontractors.
• Cross-functional coordination to mature designs.
