Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a CAD designer/engineer in California to prepare and evolve design layouts and maintain assembly drawings using Creo and PLM tools. You will support engineers with detailed parts and assemblies across structural, mechanical, fluids, and electronics domains.

Applicants should have an associate degree in CAD & Design, 2+ years in aerospace or related fields, and strong GD&T, plus proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD & Design or equivalent required.
• 2+ years in aerospace development or related industry.
• Proficiency with Creo Parametric and Windchill for drawings and release.
• Experience with GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience selecting aerospace hardware, fasteners, etc.
• Experience in cross-functional teams for design and materials decisions.
• Attention to detail and ownership across tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and evolve design layouts; create and maintain detail/assembly drawings.
• Support engineering with mechanical layouts and drawings for components.
• Apply company techniques to manage design data (detail, assembly, installation).
• Implement standard methodologies to balance cost, schedule and performance.
