Blue Origin in Washington state is seeking a mechanical design engineer to prepare and evolve design layouts, create and maintain detail part and assembly drawings using CAD and PLM tools. You will support engineering teams in mechanical layout and detailed design for structural, mechanical, fluids, and electronics parts and assemblies.

The role requires an associate degree in CAD and Design with 2+ years aerospace experience, proficiency in Creo Parametric and Windchill, and strong attention to

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design.
• 2+ years aerospace development or similar industry.
• Proficiency in drawing generation and release using Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience selecting aerospace hardware and working with cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ownership; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/evolve design layouts and create/maintain detail part and assembly drawings using CAD/PLM tools.
• Support engineering teams with mechanical layout and detailing for structural, mechanical, fluids, and electronics parts and assemblies.
• Apply company design/drafting techniques to plan and depict engineering data (drawings/datasets).
• Implement engineering/ manufacturing standard methodologies balancing cost, schedule and performance.
