Job summary

RTX in Minnesota is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join the Air Data Sensors design team. You will contribute to developing new sensor technology and support existing products through prototyping, testing, and documentation.

You will collaborate with engineers on CAD design, packaging, and manufacturing considerations, gaining hands-on experience in a world-class lab environment and working within integrated product teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and enrolled through internship period.
• Experience with CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, Onshape, and/or NX.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Design Engineers in mechanical CAD design, thermal analysis, material science, system testing, data collection and analyzing test data.
• Participate in design decision making and lab prototype testing.
• Work fluidly within multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams executing projects according to plan.
• Access wind tunnel, environmental test lab, and forensics investigation lab to help deliver air data solutions.
• Intern should be a motivated self-starter capable of driving tasks and small projects to completion on time and on budget.
