Job summary

Platform Aerospace in Hollywood, MD is seeking a Material Control Specialist to ensure material accountability and traceability from receiving through manufacturing to shipment.

You will set up and maintain inventory records, work with Project Managers and shop floor, and enforce DFARS, FAR and contractual requirements in a fast-paced aerospace environment. Forklift training and Security Clearance readiness are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with QuickBooks and MRP/ERP systems is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Driver’s license required for material movement between facility and warehouse.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability and traceability of hardware, electrical components, and metal stock across receiving, manufacturing, and shipment.
• Set up, organize, and maintain inventory recording and control systems to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Perform material kitting for projects and conduct receiving/inspection of materials with certs.
• Enforce DFARS, FAR, and other contractual requirements.
• Adhere to AS9100 requirements for traceability documentation.
• Provide back-up support for coworkers in purchasing/materials roles.
