Job summary

ASD in Goleta, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support fabrication and assembly of mechanical components, work with engineers on setup and calibration, and perform rework and quality testing for parts and subassemblies.

The role includes reading drawings, using hand tools and basic test equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient production. A high school diploma and practical experience are required; ISO familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Able to read, write and follow English instructions.
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds.
• Able to stand for varying hours.
• Able to work flexible hours, overtime, and different shifts.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or assemble mechanical components for larger assemblies.
• Set up and test prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions.
• Analyze data and modify components or tests to meet specs.
• Assist engineers in development of designs and tests of assemblies.
• Record data and interface with other departments.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and organization.
