Job summary

GE Aerospace invites students to join the Manufacturing Engineering Internship to build a solid foundation in manufacturing and assembly processes. You will gain exposure to new product integration, technology adoption, continuous improvement, and cost-out initiatives as a pathway to MEDP/OMLP programs after graduation.

You will learn cutting-edge manufacturing practices, support engine assembly and component work, and apply Lean Six Sigma methods to drive productivity while developing project

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s or graduate program.
• Willingness to work at 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for components and engine assembly.
• Maintain quality via risk assessment, root-cause analysis, corrective action and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions with EHS initiatives.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to improve productivity, delivery, and process capability.
• Assist in delivering components with suppliers and manage project skills.
