Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an intern for its Manufacturing Engineering program in the United States. This role builds a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly processes and may lead into MEDP or OMLP after graduation.

You will learn state-of-the-art methods, support engine assembly projects, and apply Lean and Six Sigma concepts to improve productivity. This internship is a stepping stone to further opportunities within GE Aerospace.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Attending a full-time registered and nationally accredited bachelor or graduate program.
• Willingness to work in any of GE Aerospace's 35+ U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation for sites without public transit.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.
• Learn and apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity and on-time delivery.
• Support delivery for sourced components by collaborating with shops and suppliers while building project management and business acumen.
