Job summary

GE Aerospace in Ohio is offering a Manufacturing Engineering Internship to build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly, including new product integration, technology adoption, and cost-out initiatives. This internship serves as a pathway to MEDP or OMLP programs after graduation.

You will learn manufacturing methods, support assembly and repair of components, and apply Lean Six Sigma to improve productivity in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative G.P.A. on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrolled in a full-time bachelor or graduate program; engineering or related majors listed in the posting.
• Willingness to work in any GE Aerospace U.S. location.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand state-of-the-art methods of manufacturing.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for component hardware and/or engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, root cause analysis, corrective action, and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations.
• Assist delivery for sourced components by coordinating with shops and suppliers, developing project management, negotiation, and business acumen.
