Job summary

Sidus Space seeks a Manufacturing Engineer for its Cape Canaveral, FL site to define and execute the manufacturing roadmap from purchase to launch. The role is 100% onsite and requires strong CAD, GD&T, and aerospace manufacturing knowledge.

You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to optimize processes, improve manufacturability, and support new orders with detailed routers, drawings, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 3+ years in engineering or manufacturing, or a master's in STEM with 1+ year experience.
• Strong background in machining, sheet metal, tooling and composites/plastics.
• Experience in ISO 9001/AS9100 environments is preferred.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and GD&T interpretation.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and apply manufacturability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between management, shop and quality functions.
• Create manufacturing routers and document production processes from drawings.
• Communicate drawings to shop floor personnel and support production on issues.
• Collaborate to improve design for manufacturability and process efficiency.
• Support pre-production meetings and production scheduling, ensuring timelines.
