Job summary

Sidus Space, based in Florida, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to define and execute the technological roadmap for a full lifecycle of hardware from procurement to launch. The role is 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral, FL, and requires strong collaboration with management, shop floor, and quality teams.

The successful candidate will translate engineering drawings into manufacturing routers, support manufacturing processes, and drive continuous improvements for production and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with applicable engineering/manufacturing experience.
• Strong background in machining, sheet metal, tooling and composites/plastics.
• Experience with CNC/Multi-Axis Milling, Mill-Turn, Grinding, Wire EDM, Drilling, Deburring and Welding.
• Knowledge of 3-D Printing, Prototype Processing and equipment assessment.
• Experience in ISO 9001/AS9100 environments preferred.
• SolidWorks knowledge is required.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical roadmap to meet client requirements.
• Operate and support manufacturing processes from purchase to launch.
• Serve as liaison among management, shop and quality functions.
• Create manufacturing routers from engineering drawings to meet timelines.
• Communicate drawings to shop floor personnel and resolve production issues.
• Support process improvements to maximize production and quality.
• Participate in pre-production meetings and weekly production scheduling.
• Collaborate with Engineering to improve design for manufacturability.
• Maintain professional standards and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with QA, Sales, and manufacturing interactions.
