Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our FAA repair station, supporting ram air turbines, power generation, and actuation systems. You will provide technical support to MRO products and develop solutions to complex issues on the shop floor.

The role requires a STEM degree with at least 2 years of related experience; RCCA, lean, and Six Sigma methods, plus strong cross-functional collaboration, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required; minimum 2 years of related experience.
• Prior engineering or operations experience in manufacturing or repair industry.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to MRO product lines.
• Develop and implement solutions to technical issues.
• Review repair data, drawings, and history for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Provide written technical instructions for repairs or modifications to teams, customers, and regulators.
• Review test reject data to improve test yield.
• Produce analyses to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and OEM requirements.
• Communicate technical information to stakeholders and respond to queries.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
