Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking engineers for the Mechanisms Manufacturing team to own major assemblies from release through test and integration on the Terran R launcher. You will drive build/test flow, coordinate part sourcing, and develop mbom/work instructions while collaborating across design, supply chain, and production to ensure scalable, high-quality manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.
  • 1+ years of hardware manufacturing experience.
  • Experience writing work instructions and test procedures.
  • Experience interfacing with design, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of at least two of: fastening/torquing, pneumatic/mechanical assembly, testing or tooling design.

Responsibilities

  • Own major mechanized assemblies and their child components from design release through test and integration.
  • Drive build and test efforts through design integration, part sourcing, sequencing, and BOM development.
  • Support workcenters by addressing safety, tooling, and capital equipment needs.
  • Provide hands-on shop floor support and feedback to improve manufacturability.
  • Analyze discrepancies and lead root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor other manufacturing engineers and push for efficient production.
