Job summary

Relativity Space is seeking a manufacturing engineer to own major mechanized assemblies for the Terran R program, guiding design release through testing and integration. You will drive build/test activities, material planning, and process improvements on the shop floor with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Experience developing processes and writing work instructions or test procedures for mechanical/electrical/pneumatic assemblies.
• Experience interfacing with design, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, planning and production teams.
• Proven ability to lead large process or quality improvements with broad ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own major mechanized assemblies from design release to test and integration onto the Terran R vehicle.
• Lead build/test activities including part sourcing, sequencing, mbom development, work orders, and spec authoring.
• Support workcenters by evaluating assembly and test operations, safety, tooling, and equipment needs.
• Provide hands-on shop floor support and feedback to drive manufacturability improvements.
• Analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Foster critical thinking and mentoring of other manufacturing engineers on process improvements.
