Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join our Advanced Technology team in the United States. You will own and operate industrial additive manufacturing systems and support composite development, tooling fabrication, and machining for next‑generation aerospace components.

You will collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, technicians, and researchers to accelerate product development and enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in engineering.
  • Experience managing additive manufacturing materials, print preparation, machine operation and post-processing.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes and prototype development methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple technical activities and projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communicator capable of working across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier organizations.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and implement new manufacturing technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Manufacturing & Additive Manufacturing Operations.
  • Operate, maintain, and support industrial AM systems (FDM, SLA, SLS).
  • Produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
  • Manage additive manufacturing workflows: job prep, scheduling, post‑processing, quality verification.
  • Maintain AM materials inventory and process documentation.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and implement new AM technologies and materials.
  • Develop best practices and standardized AM procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop AM solutions for prototypes and tooling.
  • Support composite manufacturing development activities including tooling and process improvements.
  • Design, fabricate, assemble, and evaluate prototype hardware, tooling, fixtures, and jigs.
  • Assist manufacturing trials and document findings and lessons learned.
