Job summary

ST Engineering MRAS is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to join the Advanced Technology team in Baltimore, MD. You will operate and expand industrial AM systems and support tooling fabrication, process development, and manufacturing collaboration across groups.

You will apply CAD experience (NX/CATIA/SolidWorks) and work with aerospace composites, tooling, and prototyping to accelerate product development and deliver production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' work experience in engineering.
• Experience managing additive manufacturing materials, print preparation, machine operation, and post-processing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and support industrial additive manufacturing systems (FDM, SLA, SLS).
• Produce prototype parts, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing aids.
• Manage additive manufacturing workflows including job prep, scheduling, post-processing, and quality verification.
• Maintain additive manufacturing materials inventory and documentation.
• Support evaluation/qualification of new AM technologies and materials.
• Develop best practices and standardized procedures for AM operations.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop AM solutions for prototypes and tooling.
• Support composite manufacturing development activities and tooling development.
• Design, fabricate, assemble prototype hardware and fixtures.
• Support manufacturing trials and process development activities.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues; identify improvements.
• Demonstrate design-for-manufacturing and production-readiness principles.
• Support CNC machining operations including 5-axis applications.
• Coordinate with EHS for safety and compliance.
