Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a Manufacturing Electrical/Test Engineer for our Bellevue, IA facility. You will verify and sustain test processes, equipment and procedures used in manufacturing Collins Aerospace products, ensuring quality and throughput across test stages from board level to top-level test.

You will participate in cross-functional teams to improve test yields, analyze failures, reduce downtime, support producibility and testability of new designs,

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in cross-functional team efforts to improve test yields, production throughput, test capacity, and overall product quality.
  • Identify component test failure trends and perform root cause analysis. Implement corrective actions to resolve. Prepare test failure analysis reports as required for production.
  • Study performance and reliability of existing test equipment and establish programs and solutions for decreasing test equipment downtime.
  • Analyze test approach, plans, and processes for cost reduction, test efficiency, test yields, and manufacturing test capacity opportunities.
  • Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for accurate test equipment needs. Identify new test approaches that will minimize production staffing needs and capital requirements.
  • Support producibility and Testability initiatives for new designs and product upgrades.
  • Participates in Production Readiness Reviews to determine suitability of new designs for production.
  • Support efforts to conduct gage R&R efforts on new test solutions to verify consistent product and equipment performance.
  • Maintain test documentation for current configuration and oversee accurate change management procedures for all test documents.
