Job summary

RTX is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join the Manufacturing Support team at the Collins Aerospace Decorah facility. You will leverage your expertise in Industrial Engineering to enhance manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

You will support various manual or automated build and test operations within the Decorah Operations Team, focusing on sensors and fire protection production activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM major by start date.
• Previous manufacturing experience is required.
• Experience in driving process enhancements and operational efficiency through continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement technical solutions, tools, and layouts to enhance efficiency, safety and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and refine product designs through technical insights.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on cost control, inventory management and Lean principles.
• Manage medium‑complexity projects, estimate timelines and costs, and validate cost requirements.
