Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Santa Ana, CA to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on high-volume aerospace manufacturing equipment. The role emphasizes hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs to keep production reliable on a 2nd shift.

Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience is required. The position offers hourly wages of $40.00–$48.00 and comprehensive onsite benefits in a fully onsite facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, working with production machinery and equipment.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and a strong passion for repairing machinery.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic systems and components.
• Experience troubleshooting pneumatic systems in an industrial environment.
• Ability to maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, including basic communication diagnostics.
• Working knowledge of electrical maintenance including control panels, wiring, and conduits.
• Experience with compression and injection molding machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical predictive and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems with focus on hydraulic components and performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems used in production equipment.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, including diagnosing communication issues and improving control system reliability.
• Maintain electrical equipment and components such as frequency controllers, conductors, conduit, cable trays, and motor control centers.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble equipment for safe operation.
• Fabricate and repair tooling and machine components to support production and maintenance needs.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on compression and injection molding machines and related equipment.
• Support continuous production by responding to breakdowns and implementing repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production staff to identify recurring issues and recommend long-term solutions.
• Document maintenance activities including repairs, adjustments, and parts replacements.
