Job summary

Eaton in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Machining Team Lead for the 2nd shift to oversee day-to-day machine shop operations and guide machinists in producing aerospace components.

You will lead the team, ensure schedules, quality, and safety, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Planning while training staff on processes and equipment. The role offers a 2:15pm–10:45pm schedule, Monday–Friday, with a $2 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of machine setup and operation experience (CNC and/or manual).
• Minimum 1 year of leadership or mentoring machinists.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day machine shop operations and assign work.
• Ensure schedules, quality and safety requirements are met.
• Provide hands-on leadership, troubleshoot machining issues.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, and Planning.
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC and manual equipment.
• Train machinists on processes, tooling, and safety.
• Maintain accurate labor and inventory transactions.
• Escalate production issues and lead daily shift meetings.
