Whippany Actuation Systems LLC is seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor (2nd shift) to lead machinists and quality inspectors in a high‑mix aerospace environment. You will schedule, mentor, and drive improvements in machining processes, including CNC operations, GD&T, and metrology, while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5 years’ manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in machining operations with understanding of CNC machining schedules.
• Authorization to work in the US.

Responsabilités

• Schedule and assign personnel to meet production plan and monitor progress.
• Develop goals, policies, and procedures; drive efficiency in machining processes.
• Ensure compliance with policies; manage budgeting for machining activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to implement new machining processes.
• Develop and mentor direct reports through performance reviews and training.
• Resolve production issues by analyzing data and determining solutions.
• Maintain documentation such as inspection records and certificates of conformance.
• Set objectives and communicate them to the team; support cross‑functional input when needed.
• Lead EHS activities and participate in safety programs.
• Oversee a team of machinists and quality inspectors; work hours 3:30pm - 12:00am.
