Whippany Actuation Systems LLC, based in Whippany, NJ, seeks a Machine Shop Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead machining operations and ensure high-quality electromechanical actuators and components.

The role requires coordinating machinists and quality inspectors, driving continuous improvement with ERP/MES insights, and partnering with Manufacturing Engineering to implement new processes while maintaining safety and productivity.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with increasing responsibility, including supervisory experience.
• Experience in machining operations including demonstrated understanding of CNC machining schedules.
• Authorization to work in the US.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule and assign personnel to meet production plan.
• Develop goals, objectives, and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Monitor work activities to ensure policy compliance and budget adherence.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and implement new machining processes.
• Develop and coach direct reports through annual performance reviews and training.
• Resolve production problems by analyzing data and identifying solutions.
• Maintain documentation practices including inspection records and certificates of conformance.
• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
• Notify Operations Manager of issues requiring cross-functional input to resolve production changes.
• Foster open communications and a safe, productive work environment.
• Maintain relationships with the union and enforce company policies.
