Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Advanced Lifing and Fracture Mechanics Engineer–Aerospace Propulsion to develop lifing methodologies for conventional and additively manufactured components, and to perform fatigue and damage-tolerance analyses using NASGRO, DARWIN and FRANC3D.

You will report to our Mechanical Design Engineering Manager on a hybrid schedule with 100% onsite work for the first 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science in a technical discipline (e.g., mechanical, aerospace).
• 3+ years in lifing, fracture mechanics, or damage tolerance (aerospace engines preferred).
• Experience with finite element analysis tools (Ansys preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform fatigue and damage tolerance analyses for aerospace components.
• Develop and validate life-prediction models for conventional and additive manufacturing parts.
• Contribute to material characterization test plans for metallic and non-metallic materials.
• Collaborate with designers to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
