Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace US LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Engineer II – Forgings to provide technical expertise in materials and process engineering of forged products, collaborating across Honeywell teams to solve design and manufacturing challenges on aerospace components.

You will support new and existing forged parts, interact with suppliers, and work on a hybrid schedule reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• 2+ years of materials/process engineering in forging.
• 2+ years experience with aluminum, steel, titanium and nickel aerospace wrought alloys.

Responsibilities

• Support for new and existing forged products in aerospace engines and components.
• Engage with forging and raw material suppliers to resolve issues.
• Travel up to 20% domestically and internationally; lifting up to 35 pounds.

Skills

Bachelor's degree in STEM

2+ years forging materials/process

Aerospace wrought alloys experience

Education

Materials Science specialization

Advanced degree in engineering (plus)

Tools

DEFORM forging simulation
