Job summary

System Applications & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support NAS Patuxent River, MD. You will design, analyze, and document aircraft instrumentation/modifications and review drawings with the instrumentation team.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited) and at least 5 years of relevant experience; proficiency with CREO/SolidWorks; PM knowledge; and the ability to create technical data packages. U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience in mechanical design engineering.
CREO and SolidWorks with parts/assemblies.
Knowledge of aircraft instrumentation integration.
Project management experience and PM processes.
Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Ability to create detailed analysis reports.
Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain DoW clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform design, analysis, and documentation for aircraft instrumentation/modification.
Establish customer and installation requirements for aircraft modification.
Develop mechanical designs including parts, subassemblies and installation drawings.
Review engineering drawings and coordinate installation team.
Provide technical liaison with shop personnel.
