Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks a Field Engineer to support the Aircraft Prototype Systems Division at NAS Pax River. The candidate will apply instrumentation expertise, train customers, and work with engineers on-site to support test programs.

The role requires SME-level instrumentation knowledge, a current Secret clearance, and the ability to operate within McNamara–O’Hara act constraints. Compensation aligns with the wage determinations for this contract location.

Qualifications

• 15+ years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in related field; 13 years with a Master's in related field; or a High School Diploma with 19 years of relevant experience.
• Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Instrumentation.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assess product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
• Conduct technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
• Act as local on-site representative to the customer's organization.
• Review, analyze, develop, prepare, and apply engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures.
• Plan and perform tests and evaluations on systems, equipment, or components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lower-level technicians
• Perform fabrication, installation and operational support of instrumentation systems and wiring harnesses on various aircraft and test articles.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and recommend actions to customers.
