Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Mechanical Instrumentation Branch to design, analyze, and document aircraft instrumentation modifications for DoD programs. Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree, at least five years of mechanical design experience, and proficiency with Creo/SolidWorks.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of five years of relevant mechanical design experience.
• Experience with aircraft instrumentation integration and modification is highly desired.
• Knowledge of PM processes is highly desired.
• Experience creating technical data packages and detailed analysis reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and document aircraft instrumentation/modifications.
• Establish customer and installation requirements for aircraft modifications.
• Develop mechanical designs and prepare parts/subassemblies/installation drawings.
• Review detailed engineering drawings and coordinate with engineers/technicians.
• Lead installation teams and provide technical liaison across shop personnel.
