Job summary

Senior Aerospace Spencer is seeking an Inspection Coordinator to support 1st and 2nd shift in a hands-on role focused on quality inspections for aerospace components. You will lead First Article inspections, mechanical lot and final inspections, and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and the quality system.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will prioritize inspection activities, review certifications, and generate inspection plans.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical inspection experience in manufacturing; aerospace preferred.
• Experience inspecting precision-machined components.
• Ability to read eng. drawings, GD&T, specifications, and docs.
• Experience reviewing material certifications and traceability.
• Experience performing final inspection and documentation review.
• Experience developing or working from detailed inspection plans.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize inspection activities under the Quality Manager.
• Communicate inspection status, delays, and quality concerns.
• Provide direction while performing hands-on inspection tasks.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and mechanical lot inspections.
• Conduct final inspections and certify conformity before release.
• Review certifications and manufacturing docs for completeness and traceability.
• Inspect raw material certifications and test reports.
• Generate inspection plans based on drawings and requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specs, and PO requirements.
• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.
