Job summary

Senior Aerospace Spencer, a part of Senior plc, is seeking an Inspection Coordinator to support quality inspection across 1st and 2nd shifts. The role includes performing First Article Inspections, mechanical lot inspections, final inspections, and reviewing certifications and documentation.

You will generate inspection plans, interpret drawings and GD&T, use precision measuring equipment, and coordinate with Production, Engineering, and Shipping to ensure on-time release and shipment while

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical or quality inspection experience in manufacturing, aerospace preferred.
• Experience inspecting precision-machined components.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and specs.
• Experience with material certification and traceability.
• Experience developing or following detailed inspection plans.
• Strong mathematical and inspection-related calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize inspection activities under QA direction.
• Communicate inspection status and quality concerns to QA and other departments.
• Lead hands-on inspection while guiding team.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Conduct mechanical lot and final inspections of aerospace components.
• Review certifications and documentation for completeness and traceability.
• Generate inspection plans based on drawings and specs.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, POs, and customer requirements.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gages, and comparators.
• Identify nonconforming product and escalate as needed.
• Maintain inspection records and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement in inspection efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, organized inspection area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
