Job summary

NextDeavor is seeking a FAA Quality Inspector 2 to ensure product quality through inspections, documentation, and regulatory reporting. You will work onsite on the 1st shift, supporting incoming and final inspections and customer source inspections with production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities include conducting GD&T inspections, creating FAIRs per AS9102, maintaining records, and reporting data to improve processes. NA/On-site role with FAA screening requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years aerospace/electronics experience preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection.
• Proficient in inspection measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform inspection tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of products, materials, and components at various production stages to ensure quality.
• Conduct visual and mechanical inspections of assemblies per IPC-A-610 and harness standards.
• Create and review FAIRs (AS9102) and issue necessary certifications.
• Prepare inspection records, calibration recall, and related acceptance/rejection documentation.
• Gather and report statistical data to identify design or process inefficiencies.
• Perform customer source inspections and other quality duties.
• Maintain attendance and comply with FAA drug screening policies.
