Collins Aerospace seeks an Industrial Engineer to support aerospace manufacturing operations in Durham, NH. You will develop, improve, and sustain processes to drive safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.

You will evaluate processes, quantities, and layouts, perform DOE studies, and support qualification and continuous improvement efforts in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial engineering, process improvement, or technical operations in a production environment.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing documentation, and technical requirements.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsabilités

• Develop, evaluate, improve, and sustain manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and operational performance.
• Analyze processes, workflows, equipment utilization, labor requirements, and production constraints to identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide hands-on technical support to Operations and Engineering teams for manufacturing process issues and production challenges.
• Support development and implementation of process controls, operating parameters, work instructions, and visual standards.
• Plan, execute, and document engineering trials, DOE studies, and other evaluations to optimize processes.
• Support qualification, validation, and readiness activities for new or modified processes, equipment, tooling, and materials.
• Analyze data to identify variation, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead or support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Conduct time studies and labor analysis to establish manufacturing standards.
• Develop and improve layouts, material flow, workstation design, and sequencing for safety and efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput and capacity.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, standard work, 5S, value stream mapping initiatives.
• Maintain manufacturing metrics and analytical tools to monitor performance and improvements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with AS9100, Nadcap, and internal procedures.
