Steel Tool & Engineering Co. — Aerospace Precision Machining & Fabrication is seeking an In‑Process Quality Zone Auditor to ensure product conformity on the Trenton, MI floor.

You will roam production zones, perform point‑of‑occurrence audits, and support gage calibration and training to maintain quality presence on the line. You’ll collaborate with Team Leads and Product Quality Engineers to drive root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions, escalating trends and guiding operators to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Background in manufacturing, quality, or inspection preferred.
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, and measurement gages.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Roam assigned production zones to verify product conformity and process adherence.
• Identify quality issues where they occur and initiate immediate containment.
• Perform point‑of‑occurrence audits against standards and procedures.
• Assist with gage calibration activities and verify equipment condition.
• Deliver hands‑on gage training and promote quality awareness on the floor.
• Collaborate with Team Leads and Product Quality Engineers to investigate issues.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions; escalate recurring trends.
• Log findings, escalate trends, and plan tomorrow’s roaming inspections.
