Job summary

Arch Precision, LLC is seeking a roaming Quality Inspector to perform real-time audits and roving inspections across multiple production lines. The role emphasizes first-article checks, rapid defect containment, and close collaboration with manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will read complex blueprints and GD&T, operate precision measuring tools, and confidently halt production when defects are detected, ensuring strict adherence to quality standards on a dynamic factory floor.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive environments.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T symbols.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Must be mobile with the ability to stand, walk, and move around a large facility floor during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform roving in-process and final inspections across multiple production lines to ensure compliance with blueprints, specs, and SOPs.
• Validate First-Article Inspection (FAI) results before full-scale manufacturing begins.
• Conduct random audits and spot-checks to ensure ongoing ISO compliance and quality metrics.
• Identify, segregate, and contain non-conforming materials; issue MRB when thresholds are breached.
• Verify calibration and proper use of gauges and measurement tools by operators.
• Maintain digital logs of inspection results, scrap rates, and rework metrics in the QMS.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers for root cause analysis and CAPA implementation.
