Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) seeks a Lead Industrial Engineer for two Salt Lake City sites. You will provide data-driven insights to executives, balancing customer needs with production capabilities and driving improvements in quality, cost, and schedule.

You will own CAPEX, production readiness for legacy and new business, and long-term facility planning through analytics while leading cross-functional teams and mentoring engineers toward higher performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing or related field.
• B.S. in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with Data Analytics and Statistics.
• Leadership experience (formal or informal).
• Comfortable with interfacing and presenting to upper management.
• Cultural leader who develops direct reports and peers.
• Proficiency with Load vs Capacity Analysis.
• Willingness to travel between AEC sites globally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Industrial Engineering direct reports at two manufacturing sites.
• Engage with Executive Leadership for reports, root cause analysis, and program reviews.
• Support Production Rate Readiness for legacy and new business.
• Support long-term facilities and capital planning through data analytics.
• Assist Operations Management in safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
• Manage CAPEX at the Salt Lake City Business Unit.
• Create and deploy Integrated Business Planning strategy across AEC.
• Support lean initiatives and value stream mapping and six sigma.
• Own facility layout of 600,000+ sq ft production space.
