Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a Lead Industrial Engineer to balance production needs with capacity and quality. You will provide data-driven insights to operations leaders and drive cross-functional improvements across two manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities include overseeing IE staff, engaging with executive leadership, supporting capital planning, and advancing lean initiatives such as Six Sigma. Occasional travel to global sites is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of aerospace manufacturing or related field.
• B.S. in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency with Data Analytics and Statistics.
• Leadership experience (Formal or Informal).
• Comfortable interfacing and presenting to Upper Management.
• Cultural Leader who develops direct reports and peers.
• Proficiency with Load vs Capacity Analysis.
• Willingness to periodically travel between AEC sites, globally.

• Create and deployment of Integrated Business Planning Strategy across AEC.
• Support continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, value stream mapping, and six sigma initiatives.
• Functional ownership of combined 600,000+ SQFT Production Facility Layout.

The Industrial Engineering (IE) team is charged with balancing the needs of our customers with the capabilities and capacities of the production floor. They will provide Operations Leaders with the data necessary to make sound decisions, and drive improvements in quality and efficiency. The Lead IE will ensure that the team has the resources and support to be successful, as well as helping forge the way for the Long-term growth of the business. This individual will regularly engage with cross-functional departments, as well as upper management.

This position may be based in Rochester, NH; Boerne, TX; Salt Lake City, UT; or Grapevine, TX, depending on the candidate’s location and business needs.
