Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to plan layouts for machining, composites, and assembly. You will adapt equipment design to factory conditions and specify fabrication procedures to improve product performance.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with GD&T, and experience in a multi-disciplined team. DOE, PFMEA, and LEAN methods are valued as part of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• BS in designated Engineering or related field or equivalent years of experience.
• DMAIC, DFSS, LEAN, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, Mistake Proofing, DOE, DFx.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action / Nonconformance Disposition (MRB).
• Production and Assembly Environment (Composite Lay Up, Cure, Paint, and NDI).
• Machine shop environment (Composite Machining) as a manufacturing engineer.
• New Product Development / New Business Development.
• Shop Planning Generation (MS Word Products, etc).
• Working in/Leading a multi—disciplined team
• GD&T
• CATIA V5
• Green Belt Certified a plus
• Experience in Windchill, and SAP a plusAerospace manufacturing a plus
• As a Department of Defense Contractor, we are required to hire US Persons.
