Job summary

Aero Gear in Windsor, CT is seeking a skilled machinist to independently set up and operate precision CNC ID-OD grind equipment. You will read process travelers, adjust tooling, and program offsets to produce complex parts while maintaining close tolerances and safety standards.

Applicants should have a minimum 3 years aerospace CNC experience and a high school diploma. Vocational training is a plus, with extensive experience possibly substituting for formal education.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years aerospace CNC machining experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program is a plus, but extensive experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets to produce complex finished product.
• Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.
• Inspect work with precision instruments including air gage, OD indicating gaging, indicators, profilometers, micrometers, height stands and verniers.
• Perform daily TPM responsibilities.
• Maintain housekeeping on machines and work area; comply with safety rules; wear PPE as required.
• Participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.
