Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a harness design engineer for the Precision Control Actuation Systems (PCAS) team. You will derive system requirements, define mechanical outlines, select connectors, create mechanical and electrical drawings, and own the final data package for complex aerospace hardware.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Tucson, Huntsville, and beyond to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals, and contribute to harness and interconnect solutions for multiple missile

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• A minimum of five (2) years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnessing for military, or aerospace, or commercial applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and derive system requirements.
• Define mechanical outline and construction details, connector selection and specification, mechanical and assembly drawings, oversee electrical layout, perform first order electrical analysis, and ownership of final technical data package.
• Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for finished product.
• Interact with senior personnel on significant technical matters across cross-functional locations.
• Develop technical solutions for complex problems across product life cycle including proposal, design, manufacture, and integration.
