Job summary

RTX Corporation in the United States (Huntsville, AL) seeks a qualified engineer to lead harness design and electrical integration for missile programs. You will derive system requirements, specify mechanical and electrical interfaces, and ensure packaging integrity across lifecycle stages.

Role requires DoD security clearance eligibility, strong communication skills, and ability to collaborate across multiple sites including Tucson and Huntsville.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
• Minimum of five (2) years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnessing for military, aerospace, or commercial applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and derive system requirements.
• Define mechanical outline, connector selection and specs, drawings; oversee electrical layout and data package.
• Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product.
• Interact with senior personnel across locations on technical matters.
• Develop technical solutions across the product life cycle including electronics and interconnect packaging for missile programs.
• Provide expertise beyond traditional design responsibilities when needed.
