Job summary

RTX seeks a highly skilled engineer to identify system requirements and develop mechanical outlines, connector specs, and electrical layouts for complex harnessing and interconnect solutions within aerospace programs.

You will ensure cost, schedule, and quality targets are met while collaborating with senior engineers across locations, and applying expertise across propulsion, electronics, and packaging domains.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with 2+ years relevant experience.
• An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• A minimum of 5 (2) years of experience in the design and/or manufacturing of wire harnessing for military, aerospace, or commercial applications.

Responsibilities

• Identify and derive system requirements.
• Define mechanical outline and construction details, connector selection and specification, drawings, and electrical layout.
• Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance for finished product.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across locations.
• Develop technical solutions for electronics and interconnect packaging for missile programs.
• Provide expertise outside traditional design scope.
