Job summary

Ducommun, Inc. is seeking a Business Development Director to lead sales initiatives and drive the AOP for the performance center. The role focuses on bookings, new business, and backlog growth with direct reporting to the Performance Center Director.

The candidate will prepare proposals, present to customers, negotiate contracts, and represent the company at industry events while traveling as needed to foster customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in business or engineering related discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years sales experience in relevant markets with proven customer relation skills.
• Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
• Ability to manage numerous projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining knowledge of market trends, competitive actions, product needs, and customer base to support AOP and site objectives.
• Preparing and presenting sales and marketing proposals and perform technical presentations.
• Negotiating contracts and develop proposals as required.
• Establishing sales goals and develop sales plans.
• Representing DCO at trade shows, conferences, seminars, and technical symposiums as required.
• Traveling as required to support customer relationships and activities.
• Other duties as assigned
