Job summary

Triumph Group is seeking a Quality Inspector (GMM Gear) for the Night Shift in Macomb, MI. The role focuses on ultra-high precision inspection of gearing using Klingelnberg centers and software to ensure alignment with blueprints and GD&T standards.

You will program, operate, and analyze multiple gear types, collaborate with manufacturing in a closed-loop system, and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Technology a plus.
• Klingelnberg Software Competency: Klingelnberg evaluation software experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and execute measuring runs on Klingelnberg P40, P65, and P100 systems.
• Program and utilize Klingelnberg software modules to measure tooth topography, deviations, helix variation, and pitch.
• Perform analysis on gears, splines, and hobs.
• Interpret measurement charts to optimize manufacturing equipment.
• Read blueprints and apply GD&T to verify datums and tolerances.
• Other duties as assigned.
