Job summary

Triumph is seeking a Quality Supervisor (Inspection) at our Macomb, MI facility to lead the site quality inspectors (20+ staff) and ensure adherence to the TGSM Quality System.

The ideal candidate will have strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation skills, AS9100 experience, a STEM degree, 6+ years in quality roles, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while collaborating across operations and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and ability to develop inspection requirements.
• AS9100 experience.
• ASQ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day inspection staff and training for Final Inspection, Gage Control, Receiving Inspection, First Piece, Metallurgical Lab Tech, GMM, and CMM teams.
• Set measurable expectations and supervise performance; delegate tasks and coach for improvement.
• Attend Tier 3 meetings and provide updates on tasks.
• Communicate issues to Site Quality Manager and Executives as needed.
• Support calibration, metrology, and inspection plan development to meet customer specs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and throughput.
• Oversee new program launches and ensure adherence to customer requirements.
• Verify instruments and gauges per schedule and maintain calibration programs.
• Ensure proper inspection stamps and qualification of personnel.
• Interpret diverse instructions and engineering drawings to determine quality standards.
