Job summary

Heven AeroTech in Sterling, VA is seeking an Accounting & Finance Intern to assist the Finance team with accounting operations, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business analysis. This hands-on role offers exposure to aerospace technology and cross-functional collaboration.

You will support payables/receivables, month-end close, data analysis, and preparation of financial reports and dashboards while ensuring compliance with policies and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Maintain financial records and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial data for reporting and decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
