Heven AeroTech in Sterling, Virginia invites an Accounting & Finance Intern to join our finance team and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic aerospace and technology environment.

You will assist with day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis, while learning our internal controls and processes. This internship emphasizes practical skill-building and collaboration across the team.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required to perform the responsibilities of this role.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reporting, and other day-to-day accounting activities.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
• Assist with maintaining financial records, documentation, and supporting schedules.
• Compile, organize, and analyze financial data for reporting and business decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Conduct research and analysis to support finance, accounting, and operational initiatives.
• Help ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information and support business objectives.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
