Job summary

Heads Up Technologies is seeking a customer focused Field Systems Engineer to design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems. This role partners closely with customers and internal teams to translate technical requirements into reliable system solutions, support aircraft installations and commissioning, and troubleshoot fielded systems.

The position combines hands on systems engineering with significant customer engagement and travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
At least 2 years as systems engineer in aerospace, or 5+ years as avionics technician with customer focus.
Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
Strong written and verbal communication to explain technical concepts.
Experience with aircraft electronics, wiring diagrams, and audio/video systems.
Knowledge of XML, databases, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, integrate, test, and support cabin systems for aircraft.
Collaborate with internal teams to translate customer requirements into solutions.
Develop test cases and procedures for product development and field use.
Set up cabin control app interfaces and system configuration files.
Provide on-site support for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Engage with customers to understand technical needs and deliver customized solutions.
