Job summary

Heads Up Technologies seeks a Field Systems Engineer to design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems. This role blends hands-on systems engineering with substantial customer engagement and travel.

Key duties include developing configuration documents, testing proof-of-concept ideas, and creating demo setups. Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or avionics technician experience.
• At least two years of systems engineering experience in aerospace or five years as avionics technician with customer focus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design tail-specific technical documentation (configuration, interface, GUI).
• Collaborate with internal teams to align with customer requirements for new/updated products.
• Set up and test proof-of-concept ideas for new products and system applications.
• Create system configuration files based on customer wiring and block diagrams.
• Create trade show and customer demonstration setups.
• Configure cabin control app interfaces for aircraft installations.
• Engage with customers to understand technical requirements and business challenges; design customized solutions.
• Share customer insights to improve product design and user experience.
• Develop test cases and procedures for system-level coverage of product specs.
• Establish methods to improve system testing and streamline processes.
• Provide onsite customer support for cabin system commissioning.
