Job summary

Heads Up Technologies seeks a Field Systems Engineer to design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems. The role partners with customers and internal teams to translate requirements into reliable solutions, support installations, and troubleshoot fielded systems.

This full-time position combines hands-on systems engineering with substantial customer engagement and travel, with eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package and a dynamic, innovative aviation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline or avionics technician experience.
• At least two years of systems engineering experience in an aerospace related field, or at least five years of experience as an avionics technician, with a strong focus on customer engagement.
• Ability to travel up to 50 percent of the time to customer sites and industry events within and outside the United States.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience with audio and video systems, aircraft electronics, and aircraft wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, integrate, test, and support advanced aircraft cabin systems.
• Develop tail specific technical documentation and configuration files.
• Set up test proof of concept ideas and create system configuration files.
• Configure cabin control app interfaces for specific aircraft installations.
• Interact with customers to understand technical requirements and business challenges.
• Develop test cases and procedures for system level coverage.
• Provide timely technical support via email, phone, and remote tools.
• Participate in on-call rotation for nights and weekends.
• Travel up to 50% to customer sites and industry events.
