FDH Aero is seeking a Field Application Engineer to blend hands-on electronics know-how with a strong sales orientation. You will engage customers, identify needs, deliver tailored solutions, and manage project timelines with a travel requirement to customer sites.

The role interfaces with engineering for design-in support, costing, and profitability analyses, and promotes comprehensive value-added offerings. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in technical sales or field applications engineering in electronics, aerospace or defense industries.
• Proven track record in customer-facing roles with sales achievement and design wins.
• Strong knowledge of electronic components, application engineering, and standards (MIL-STD, AS9100).
• Experience with cable harness assemblies and related design/support activities.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers with on-site visits, demos, design reviews, and application support.
• Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot issues, facilitate design-ins, and support integration of electronic components.
• Provide specialized expertise in cable harness assemblies and EMI shielding for aerospace/defense systems.
• Identify and close new business opportunities; develop proposals/contracts; drive revenue growth.
• Achieve sales targets via consultative selling, upselling/cross-selling, and market targeting.
• Promote FDH Electronics' Value Add, Supply Chain Management, and Full Life Cycle programs.
• Develop and execute strategic plans for assigned accounts; expand portfolios while growing lifetime value.
• Manage project timelines with supply chain and operations for on-time delivery; resolve delays.
• Prepare cost estimates, pricing proposals, and profitability analyses; monitor P&L.
• Develop and deliver quotes and technical proposals; attend industry events to network.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and build long-term relationships across programs.
• Provide market intelligence, reporting, and training support to internal teams.
• Collaborate across sales, engineering, procurement, and QA to meet customer needs.
