Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Windsor Locks, CT, is seeking a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair and modify machining equipment and test systems. You will work from blueprints and service manuals, locate faults, and perform corrective actions to ensure reliable operation.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of trades training in machine/mechanical repair; some certifications/licensing for equipment and safety are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Equivalent to 2-3 years trades training in machine and mechanical repair.
• Certification and licensing for motor vehicles, respirators, and power industrial trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, troubleshoot, repair and modify machining process and test equipment.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, service manuals and instructions.
• Locate source of malfunction and take corrective action to repair machines and equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to repair, replace and modify machines and accessories.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep daily logs and documentation current.
• May work 3rd shift: Sunday - Thursday, 12:00am-7:00am.

Education
